Trend to Watch: Connector Rings

By styleuncut • Jul 20th, 2010 • Category: Feature, Trends to Watch

Buying a connector ring (or knuckle ring) is like killing two birds with one stone. Plus they’re badass and a trend we’re totally loving! You can start with the basic 2 finger connector ring or go all the way edgy with a 4 finger joint. We’re kinda having a flash back to 80s hip hop when rappers (specifically Slick Rick) rocked gold connector rings for an instant status statement. Today’s trendy rings have been fashion influenced and range from pretty to hardcore and are available at every price point. We just racked up at least 4 dope connector rings at Forever21 for a grand total of $15!…

What I’m Wearing: Sweat Shorts Steez

By styleuncut • Jul 14th, 2010 • Category: Feature, What I'm Wearing

It’s always a possibility that my inner tomboy will come creeping out in any one of my outfits. That’s probably why I’m obsessed with all the menswear out there. These sweat shorts could totally be something that I head outside and play and get dirty in, but the fashionista in me always makes an effort to glam up my tomboy pieces. I paired a striped silk tank, a luxe bag and dope heels to amp up my look. I love the mix of casual and dressy. I’ve always admired the chicks out there who rock sneakers with their skinnies or pair an army jacket over an eyelet dress…

Obsession: Jeffrey Campbell Charli Clogs

By styleuncut • Jul 13th, 2010 • Category: Feature, Obsession of the Day

I had to share my latest purchases with everybody because I’ve fallen in love with these clogs and boy did I fall hard:-) Clogs have been on our radar ever since Karl Lagerfeld sent them down the Chanel runway. I actually ordered a pair a few months ago in cream but didn’t like them at all. The color didn’t look good on my skin so unfortunately I gave up on the clog trend without giving another color a shot, but while browsing in Nordstrom the other day, I finally saw the black and tan/nautral ones in person and I thought they both were so dope…

What I’m Wearing: Colored Leopard Steez

By styleuncut • Jun 15th, 2010 • Category: Feature, What I'm Wearing

Last week was action packed and fun filled for me! It was my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a week full of events and activities going on. I rocked this outfit out to dinner Saturday night to the best restaurant ever, Cafe Martorano’s in Fort Lauderdale. I went for a casual yet hip look for the occasion pairing together the infamous J Brand Houlihan’s in dark grey with a pretty purple, pink and black leopard cami, neutral heels and an edgy acid black hobo bag. Loved this look! Plus, this is the first pic to debut my new highlights which I couldn’t be happier with:-)…

Obsession: Jimmy Choo Star Studded Flats

By styleuncut • Jun 9th, 2010 • Category: Feature, Obsession of the Day

We’re totally seeing the star potential in these Jimmy Choo Star Studded flats ($346)! These joints literally stopped us in our tracks when we spotted them in store at Saks and imagine how delighted we were to find them a few days later online and on sale!! So freakin’ excited! These flats are the perfect nude color and we’re smitten with the silver star studs, such a cute and clever alternative to all the spiked studs out there…

What I’m Wearing: Watercolor Steez

By styleuncut • Jun 7th, 2010 • Category: Feature, What I'm Wearing

Watercolor prints are so artsy and extremely pretty and we instantly fell in love with this dress as soon as we saw it here. The colors are perfect for spring and summer; noticeable without being too bright. The price was amazing too which made this particular purchase an automatic. I’ve worn this dress a few times, but this time around I rocked a blue crossbody bag staying in line with the strong blue hues in the dress and flat brown sandals and a simple gold macho watch. My blue pedicure went perfectly with this look too…

Get the Look: Ciara’s Army Jacket

By styleuncut • Jun 3rd, 2010 • Category: Feature, Get the Look

We had to laugh when we saw this pic of Ciara rocking an incredible Rag and Bone army jacket and amazing caged Louboutins ($1595). I rocked a very similar look for my birthday steez that included that same jacket and shoes. We also both added white tanks and the only difference was Ciara wore boyfriend jeans and I opted for boyfriend shorts. I can’t rave enough about the Rag and Bone Ohara jacket ($520). In the midst of this military/army green trend, this jacket has proven to stand the test of time. It’s actually not trendy at all because of its classic fit and minimal adornments on the outside. The color is a perfect olive green…

Plus, the styling on the website is so cool and inspiring. We want to rock all the outfits the models are in!

What I’m Wearing: Lace Up Gladiators Steez

By styleuncut • May 25th, 2010 • Category: Feature, What I'm Wearing

I fell in love with these Celine sandals ($630) that Kate Bosworth rocked not too long ago and I was determined to find a look for less. I came upon these equally gorge Steven for Steve Madden Whiley sandals ($150) while shopping at the mall and I thought they were pretty hot! I snapped them up and wore them promptly the very next day (strangely enough, they’re not available online yet, but they’re def in all the Steve Madden stores). In fact, I’ve rocked these joints numerous times since buying them. For this particular look, I paired them with some light blue ripped skinnies,…
