Ciara looked incredibly sexy at Maxim’s Hot 100 Party in LA last night. While her Gucci mini is dangerously short it’s obvious the singer has the gams to rock it and she smartly offset her mini with a long sleeve, slightly loose fitting sheer white Gucci top (her final touch…killer Versace heels). Ciara’s outfit is pretty risque for the most of us, but what we loved most about her look was the all white theme. Moto jackets aren’t just for the bikers anymore! We can’t go anywhere without seeing these awesome jackets in stores, on models and celebs. They add that tough girl edge to our looks. We love pairing them with pretty dresses (like Jessica Alba did here) for a cool contrast or skinny jeans and a loose fit tee for a slicker, hipper look. This cropped denim number from Gap ($70) is super dope. We rocked a similar version with black skinnies and over the knee boots not too long ago. We’ve been rocking braids (or plaits:-) since we were little girls. Who would have known that good ‘ol, simple braids would become tres chic and a trend to watch! Well, these aren’t exactly the same braids our mom gave us back in the day. As shown in the Alexander Wang Spring/Summer ‘10 shows, the cool girl way to wear your braid now is slightly messy and to the side. This hair style goes perfect with the tough pretty aesthetic that the genius Mr. Wang has made relevant again.

When we saw Rihanna in this white hot open weave sweater, we knew it was a trend to be reckoned with. Alexander Wang did an open knit sweater and tank in his Spring 2010 collection and we saw the trend make its way out to chain stores. No worries, you aren’t flashing back to the early 90s! The combat boots we see all the starlets rocking now are worn untied, relaxed and super cool. Back in the day, peeps would lace up their Doc Martens to the top loops and looked straight out of someone’s army or heavy metal concert, but Rihanna perfectly personifies today’s updated combat boots trend by pairing them with slouchy skinny pants and a hip sweater and shades. We’re also loving combats boots with skinny jeans, leggings and for a stark juxtaposition pair it with floral dresses and a leather jacket to match the boots’ toughness.

Amerie has been scoring all kinds of style points with us recently and continues to do so with this awesome look. Her fur vest is definitely the highlight of her outfit and we’re loving it! The beauty of this statement piece is it truly stands on its own. Underneath, Amerie is rocking a grey burnout tee and black jeans which is very simple but throwing on that dope ass vest took her outfit up a thousand! Before the PETA followers have a fit, we’re all for the faux fur. In fact, we strongly encourage it because it’s so much cheaper.

Red lips are nothing new of course. Screen sirens back as far as the 1920s made scarlet red lips so beautiful and fashionable and a proven accessory to the most glamourous looks. Fast forward to our present day and red lips have again made another come back. The key to getting the most flattering red lip color out there for you is to focus on your skin tone. We love Thandie Newton’s choice of a more berry red as opposed to a scarlet or fire engine red (which looks better on those with fair skin). Her’s has a bit of softness yet obviously still stands out gorgeously. Another rule to this trend is to keep your eye makeup minimal a la Thandie.

Kim Kardashian attended the Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints game this past Sunday in Miami (boyfriend Reggie Bush plays for the Saints:-) wearing an Elizabeth and James cut out shoulder tee ($185) that looked so hot! Shoulders are a subtly sexy body part for women. Showing them off in strapless dresses and tops puts them on full display, but a cut out shoulder tee just lets them peek out.
